TKC-94100 Series, On-glaze Metallic Colors for Porcelain

This product range offers lead containing on-glaze colors for third firing process. The colors of this range have metallic finish. 

 

Color Mixing

This product range is intermixable with each other and also with Cd-Free colors of TKC-90000 Series as well however; trials must be done before mass production to ensure full compatibility.

 

Firing Range

Stoneware 750 to 800°C

Earthenware 760 to 800°C

Bona China 780 to 820°C

Porcelain 780 to 850°C

Fast firing is possible at temperatures up to 950°C however, trials must be done before mass production.

 

Application

The products of this range are in powder form and can be mixed with different media for required application e.g., spraying, brushing, machine banding, direct or indirect screen-printing. Please refer to “Auxiliaries” section to select proper media.

It is recommended that the surface should be at ambient temperature and completely clean and dry before decoration.

“Satin” colors are finer in size, has less metallic effect with a smoother surface thus require a finer mesh. Satin colors has the opaquest finish.

“Metallic” colors have a full metallic sheen with metallic particles thus require a coarser mesh. 

“Glitter” colors are very large in particle size, has a full glitter effect thus require a very coarse mesh. Glitter colors has less opaque effect then the rest.

Spraying, Brushing, Machine Banding

The fired thickness of the film must be between 15-20 µm to ensure glossiness and opaqueness and the film layer must be as even as possible.

Direct / Indirect Screen-Printing

Polyester mesh, size 49-77 / cm is recommended.
